The Complexo Pedagógico, Científico e Tecnológico in Aveiro, designed by architect Vítor Figueiredo, is a landmark of contemporary Portuguese architecture. Completed between 1997 and 2000, the 7,000 m² complex hosts amphitheaters, classrooms, and high-intensity workspaces for multidisciplinary learning.
Its striking design combines a rectangular volume with a quarter-circle form, while the curved façade—shaped by double concrete blades—recalls musical notation, reflecting the university’s interdisciplinary spirit. The building received an Honorable Mention (2000–2003) for Work of Exceptional Quality, recognizing its architectural and engineering excellence.
